ControlKom™ from Atlas Sound grows in popularity, improves on technology
PHOENIX, AZ– A year after its official launch, the Atlas Sound ControlKom “Mass Communication System” has experienced rapid growth with numerous installations completed nationwide.
“We’ve been incredibly pleased with the success of the ControlKom product line,” says Steve Young, VP of Sales and Marketing for Atlas Sound. “It seems once dealers experience just how simple it is to implement and deploy, how flexible the system can be, and how much cost savings it offers in certain installations, it has become their first choice moving forward.”
The level of early success should come as no surprise as ControlKom is one of the simplest and farthest-reaching solutions to the task of managing campus messaging, bell scheduling, security, and much more. It offers a comprehensive IP-based paging system control with SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) compatibility allowing for integration with almost any existing phone system. With this technology, users can simultaneously send an audio stream and/or text message to IP loudspeakers, computer screens, and overhead paging systems, all with speed, confidence, ease-of-use, and reduced operating costs.
Atlas Sound’s offering of IP speakers continues to expand as well as new speaker models that include integrated contact closure support built into IP speakers that include microphones (I8SM, I8SCM, and I128SYSM). This new relay possibility allows for better 2-way communication and priority paging. With an optional Direct Observation and Real-time Alerting (DORA) software interface installed, ControlKom can also be used to trigger other events. This feature makes the system ideal for monitoring motion detectors, fire or security panel contact closures, door contacts, and wall-mount call switches.
Available through authorized Atlas Sound dealers nationwide, the ControlKom system will be supported via Atlas Sound’s extensive network of independent sales representatives.
A fully functioning ControlKom system and the entire line of Atlas Sound IP Speakers will be on display for demonstration at the InfoComm Expo in Orlando, FL June 17-19, 2009 at booth #6201. Atlas Sound is also offering a Manufacturer Training course on ControlKom lead by Dan Murphy from 12:30 to 2:00pm on Thursday, June 18 in Room 103W during the show.
