AUTOCUE INTRODUCES AFFORDABLE VIDEO SERVERS AT CABSAT 2011

CABSAT 2011, 8-10 February, Stand S3-B21 (UMBS):  At CABSAT 2011 Autocue will demonstrate that it is far more than a supplier of top quality teleprompting, scripting, and newsroom technology by showcasing its first four standalone, Linux-based video servers. These versatile servers feature up to four bi-directional HD/ SD channels for simultaneous record and playout, and a range of storage capabilities. These products are an ideal replacement for tape machines, as well as an affordable solution for secondary applications within top-end broadcasters.

According to Autocue CEO Frank Hyman, “CABSAT marks the Middle East debut of our video server range, which we believe offers better value per channel and format than any competitive product. Our servers have more ports, more formats, more storage and more flexibility at a lower cost than competing devices, and provide a unique and straightforward user interface suitable for a wide range of environments.”

Autocue has sold newsroom, automation and media management products to top-end broadcasters for more than 20 years.  It recently became apparent that the demand existed for a more affordable end-to-end production system, so Autocue developed a video server that can be used standalone, or as part of any production system.

The introduction of the new server range is one part of Autocue’s drive to further extend its reach within the broadcast sector. The products build on Autocue’s extensive broadcast experience, for the first time providing broadcasters with servers of the high quality and affordability that they already depend on from Autocue’s existing range of teleprompter and newsroom solutions.

Also making its first appearance at CABSAT will be Autocue’s new top-end Master Series range of teleprompters. The new range represents the latest and greatest in teleprompter hardware. Using LED backlit technology, Autocue’s design team has created the first ever slimline, high-bright teleprompter monitors.
