IHSE USA to showcase a wide range of Display Management Solutions for Control Rooms using KVM Matrix Systems and kvm-over-IP Multiview capabilities.

CRANBURY, N.J. — June 2, 2025 — IHSE USA today announced it will showcase its latest KVM and extender solutions designed to deliver flexibility, connectivity, and high performance in booth 3421 at InfoComm 2025 in Orlando. Solutions will include advanced control room and video wall solutions as well as a full line of KVM matrix switching and extender options for cost-sensitive multi-display requirements.

Designing for an advanced feature control room with IHSE’s Draco VWS

The control room consist of three main regions – the video wall and desktop monitors, the display management control and distribution system, and the computers or servers processing the information that is displayed for visual situational awareness. IHSE’s Draco video wall systems (VWS) provides all the necessary components to mesh all three components into a single video distribution system.

The Draco VWS expands our traditional display management system (DMS) for KVM to easily integrate traditional baseband KVM and IP-based KVM within the same distribution system without the need or complexity of a third-party video wall processor. By integrating our Draco Scalable Pro multi-image extender device, users can easily setup wall displays capable of smooth video capture, data, and real-time images up to 16 sources per display.

At the booth, visitors will see a variety of KVM solutions for control room applications. One of the benefits of our Draco VWS system is it brings together multiple disciplines and sectors to centralized monitoring, control, and distribution of critical information in a secure, fast-access approach. A simulated command and control workstation will be setup at the booth to show customers how KVM easily manages user workstation access to multiple sources while also allowing critical information to be quickly displayed simultaneously over a video wall. The presentation will show how users can operate multiple displays from a single mouse and keyboard with IHSE’s mouse-panning option. Additionally, visitors will see how our systems can easily be setup with 3rd party control panels using our Draco API.

IHSE continues to bring unprecedented value for high resolution KVM Systems with the new Draco Vario XS.

Building on the proven technology found in all IHSE Draco KVM systems, the company now brings a new set of high-performance extenders for 4K60 at an affordable price. The IHSE Draco Vario XS is the first of a new family of extenders based on the JPEG-XS video codec. These extenders can be integrated into any existing IHSE Vario Flex or Enterprise Matrix System operating at 1Gbps. IHSE’s Draco Vario XS is the first 4K DisplayPort KVM extender with a 60-Hz refresh rate in full color depth. The device constitutes a new generation of digital KVM signal extension using the innovative JPEG XS video codec, developed in cooperation with Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits. This revolutionary coding technology ensures brilliant image quality at the highest video resolutions with outstanding color accuracy.

Transfer of fully digital video is supported in 4K resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 and 3840 x 2160 at a real 60-Hz refresh rate and full color depth (24 bit, 4:4:4). The KVM extender also supports audio transmission via the DisplayPort interface, eliminating the need for additional audio modules, and enabling playback of the audio signal on monitors with integrated loudspeakers. Integration of optional Draco vario upgrade modules for digital audio input and output as well as data signals, such as USB 2.0 and RS-232 is also possible.

For critical workstation environments, the Vario XS is offered in a version supporting redundant signal paths. Two RJ-45 (copper Cat-X) or duplex LC (singlemode or multimode fiber) connections allow parallel path transmission that can be connected in variations of backup, redundant, or parallel path configurations.

IHSE’s Vario XS series can be used in very large facilities for operation areas such as command and control, airport kiosks, presentation walls, surveillance rooms, mobile production operator stations and other connections requiring long distances KVM transmission between facilities such as university campuses. DisplayPort transmission over IHSE’s fiber units is inherently secure and immune to EMI making it a favorable solution for government, military, air traffic control towers and medical environments.

For existing users of IHSE KVM systems, the new Vario XS provides a huge cost savings benefit to upgrade existing FHD systems to UHD up to 4K60. With incredible processing speed, switching between sources is glitch-free and instantaneous thus reducing eye strain and annoying video tearing found with other systems. The Vario XS can operate alongside existing FHD extenders thus allowing both 2160p60 an 1080p60 sources to be displayed at the same 4K display. With the small footprint and ruggedized chassis design, the Vario XS is the perfect KVM space-saving solution when centralized switching of KVM is necessary.
